Key Points:
Local Players
Local cricketers are divided into six categories.
The A category base price is BDT 50 lakh.
Bidding for players in this category can be increased by BDT 5 lakh per call.
Each franchise must buy at least 13 local players from the auction.
Maximum spending limit for local players: BDT 4.5 crore.
Each team will be able to register a maximum of 16 local players.

Foreign Players
Foreign players are divided into five categories.
The highest A category foreign player base price is USD 35,000.
Bidding for foreign players can increase by USD 5,000 per call.
Each team must pick at least 2 foreign players from the auction.
Before the auction, a franchise may sign up to 2 local and 2 foreign players directly.
Combined budget for directly signed and auctioned foreign players: USD 350,000 (≈ BDT 4.3 crore).

Squad Structure
A maximum of 16 local players can be registered.
Total squad size including reserves: Up to 22 players.
In the playing XI, teams must field minimum 2 and maximum 4 foreign players.
Financial Compliance & Payment Rules
Each franchise must provide a bank guarantee of BDT 10 crore to BCB.
Player salary payment schedule:
25% during contract signing
50% before the end of group stage
The remaining 25% within one month after the tournament concludes
Retention policy for future seasons
From the 13th edition onward, each franchise will be allowed to retain a maximum of 2 local players and 2 overseas players.
New teams will also be able to sign players before the auction under the same rules.
