Bangladesh star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Tiger pacer Taskin Ahmed went unsold in the 2025 ILT20 auction despite registering their names ahead of the auction. But they may be presented later on.

The auction, held on October 1, saw franchises finalize their squads within a budget of 4.8 million USD each, but Shakib, who had previously featured for Dubai Capitals in the Global T20 competition, failed to attract a bid.

Last year, Mustafizur Rahman joined Delhi Capitals in the IPL as a replacement for Mitchell Starc.

This season, he will represent Dubai Capitals, a sister franchise under the same ownership. The left-arm pacer was confirmed earlier by the team as a replacement for England’s Luke Wood.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik has already signed with Sharjah Warriors. Ravichandran Ashwin was listed in the auction at 120,000 USD but went unsold.
