Mustafizur Rahman, who represented Delhi Capitals in the previous season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after signing for INR 6 crore, is set to play for the same franchise’s team in the International League T20 (ILT20). This time, he will don the jersey of Dubai Capitals.

The franchise confirmed the signing through an official post.

The ILT20 auction is scheduled for September 30, but Mustafiz secured his team beforehand. He joins the UAE-based franchise as a replacement for England’s Luke Wood.

The tournament’s third edition will kick off earlier than usual, running from December 2 this year to January 4 next year, instead of the usual January-February window.

This will be Mustafizur’s fourth appearance in an overseas franchise league.

In the IPL, he has previously played for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, and Delhi Capitals.

The left-arm pacer has also featured for Dambulla Sixers in the Lanka Premier League, Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League, and Sussex in England’s Vitality Blast.
