Rangpur’s middle-order collapsed under pressure from Gudakesh Motie and Imran Tahir. However, Mayers and Iftikhar revived the innings, ensuring a competitive total.
In response, Guyana looked in control as Johnson Charles (40 off 28) and Moeen Ali (27) built a threatening partnership.

But Harmeet Singh and Tabraiz Shamsi turned the tide by removing both set batters. Rangpur’s bowlers capitalized from there — Iftikhar, Khaled Ahmed, and Omarzai chipped in with crucial breakthroughs.
Khaled’s 4/36 crushed Guyana’s chase—two wickets in two balls in the 19th over turned the match on its head. Omarzai (2/13) provided the early breakthrough and returned to clean up the tail.
The victory marks a strong start for Rangpur in the GSL.
