In their final match, Delhi ended on a high note with a commanding 6-wicket win over Punjab Kings.
Batting first, Punjab posted a strong total of 206/8, led by skipper Shreyas Iyer's 53 off 34 balls and a late 44* off 16 from Marcus Stoinis.
Mustafizur Rahman stood out with the ball for Delhi, taking 3 wickets for 33 runs, while Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam claimed two each.
In reply, Delhi chased the target with three balls to spare. After a steady start by openers KL Rahul (35) and Faf du Plessis (23), Samir Rizvi anchored the chase with a brilliant unbeaten 58 off 25 balls.
He was supported by Karun Nair (44 off 27) and Tristan Stubbs (18*). Punjab’s bowlers struggled, with Harpreet Brar taking 2 wickets.
Despite the win, Delhi’s inconsistent run cost them a playoff spot, ending their campaign with a bittersweet victory.
