After a rocky start in Dhaka, Chittagong Kings have turned their fortunes around, claiming three consecutive victories in the Bangladesh Premier League. On Monday, they defeated Sylhet Strikers by 30 runs, moving to second place on the points table with three wins in four matches under Mohammad Mithun’s leadership.

In the final match of the Sylhet leg, Chittagong set a daunting target of 203 runs, scoring 6/203 in their innings. Despite Parvez Emon’s early dismissal for just 7 runs, Pakistani opener Usman Khan and English batter Graham Clark steadied the innings with a 78-run partnership for the second wicket.

Building on their platform, Mithun (28 off 19 balls) and Haider Ali (42 off 18 balls) powered Chittagong to a commanding total. Haider’s explosive innings featured four fours and three sixes.
In reply, Sylhet Strikers struggled early, losing three wickets for just 42 runs. Despite earlier victories in the Sylhet leg, they faced trouble against Chittagong’s bowling attack.

George Munsey (52 off 37 balls) and Jaker Ali (47* off 23 balls) fought valiantly to reduce the margin of defeat. Zakir’s unbeaten innings included three fours and four sixes.
