On the tournament’s second day, victories were recorded by Boishakhi TV, ATN News, Bangla Vision, RTV, Dhaka Post, Samakal, Channel 24 and Ekhon TV.
Boishakhi TV beat Gazi TV by four wickets, with Mashur Rahman Partha named Player of the Match for figures of 2/8 and a quick 8 off 4 balls.
ATN News defeated Banglanews24.com by 24 runs, where Sabbir Ahmed earned Player of the Match for scoring 35 off 13 balls and taking one wicket for three runs.
Channel 24 defended a big total of 127 to beat Desh TV by 36 runs, with Ad-Deen Sajib starring with 35 off 10 balls and two wickets. In a last-over thriller, Ekhon TV edged past NTV by one wicket, led by captain Ariful Islam Shahab’s match-winning 35.
Bangla Vision registered a dominant 50-run win over Deepto TV. RTV pulled off a dramatic one-wicket win over Maasranga Television, chasing 32 runs in the final over. Dhaka Post thrashed BTV by 80 runs after posting 135.
The matches were held at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium, attended by BCB Media Committee Chairman Amjad Hossain, Ispahani Group GM Omar Hannan, and former hockey stars Rafiqul Islam Kamal and Mamunur Rashid.
The Round of 16 matches will be played on Wednesday.
