BCB announces Bangladesh A team squad for Asia Cup Rising Stars in Qatar

The Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament is set to begin on November 14 in Qatar, and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the Bangladesh A squad for the event, with Akbar Ali named as captain.

The team includes several standout performers from the Bangladesh Under-19 side, such as Jisan Alam, Ariful Islam, Jawad Abrar, and Meherob Hasan Oheen.

Among the more experienced names, Mahidul Islam Ankon and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury have also been included.

In addition, a few seasoned players currently outside the national setup, including Yasir Ali Chowdhury Rabbi and Abu Hider Rony will feature in the tournament.

Bangladesh have been drawn in a group alongside Hong Kong, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka.

The Tigers will play their group matches on November 15, 17, and 19, followed by the semifinals on November 21 and the final on November 23. All matches will take place in Doha, Qatar.
