Bangladesh U-19 secured a thrilling five-wicket win over South Africa U-19 in Harare ahead of their tournament final on August 10.

Chasing 148 at Harare Sports Club, Bangladesh were in trouble at 68 for 5 after early blows from pacer Bhuanda Mazola, who removed opener Jawad Abrar (3) and skipper Azizul Hakim Tamim (7). Rifat Beg’s 43 off 47 offered some resistance before James Paul dismissed him, deepening the crisis.

From there, Mohammad Abdullah and Samiun Bashir Ratul turned the match around with an unbeaten 80-run stand.
Ratul led the charge with an attacking 52* off 36 balls, hitting six fours and three sixes, while Abdullah made 20 off 47 balls.

Earlier, South Africa were bowled out for 147, with Bandile Mbatha (39) top-scoring. Sanjid Mojumdar took 4 wickets, while Ratul and Mohammad Al Fahad picked up two each.
