Facing a daunting deficit on a turning track, Zimbabwe faltered from the outset in their second innings. Miraz and Taijul mounted relentless pressure, with the former wreaking havoc to claim 5 for 32.
Taijul, who had taken six wickets in the first innings, chipped in with three more, while Nayeem Hasan picked up one wicket and another came via a run-out.
Despite a lone resistance from veteran opener Ben Curran, who delayed the inevitable with a gritty knock, Zimbabwe were eventually bowled out for 111, falling well short and unable to push the match into the fourth day.
The comprehensive win ended Bangladesh’s seven-match winless streak in Tests and highlighted Miraz’s growing stature as a premier all-rounder in the longest format.
