James Pamment worked for Mumbai Indians

Born in England, the 56-year-old is now based in New Zealand, where he had a successful first-class cricket career with Auckland. Pamment’s contract with Bangladesh will run until the ICC ODI World Cup in October–November 2027.

10 Apr 25Pamment brings a wealth of experience to the role, having most recently worked with Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a fielding coach focusing on fielding and running between the wickets, a position he held since 2018.
On his new appointment, Pamment said: "I am really excited about the opportunity to get involved with a very talented Bangladesh side. I am eagerly looking forward to joining the players and the backroom staff ahead of the Zimbabwe series."

Pamment was New Zealand’s Assistant Coach during their home series against Pakistan in 2011 and has also briefly served as interim coach for the USA national team.
