SRI LANKA COACH THANKS JASPRIT BUMRAH

Jasprit Bumrah’s overstepping tendency at crucial moments made the team India suffer once against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final. However, he repeated the same mistake yesterday against the Sri Lankan team and annihilated the little hope of India’s coming back into the match after their low-scoring first innigs.
With Virat Kohli being absent, both Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer failed to fill the gap in captaincy and the 3rd position in the batting line-up respectively.
While chasing the 113 runs’ target, Sri Lanka were able to put only 13 runs on the scoreboard after losing a wicket. Upul Tharanga, who was on 11 runs at that moment, got a life and went on to score 49 runs of just 46 deliveries, thanks to Jasprit Bumrah’s no-ball.

Although the Indian skipper for the last game, Rohit Sharma, doesn’t believe that it had an impact on the result whatsoever. The Sri Lankan coach seems to disagree completely. In fact, he thinks it was a key moment in the match.
"I firmly believe that there were two massive moments in the game. [Winning] the toss was one and the no-ball to Upul Tharanga. Had we lost another one [wicket], we would have been 15 for three and that is a hugely different situation," Pothas said.
In the final match of the Champions Trophy on June 18th, Bumrah had bowled a no-ball that resulted in Fakhar Zaman getting a reprieve when he was on 3. He then capitalized on his chance and scored a match-winning 114 runs.
However, the young pacer, despite all these disappointing events, will surely try to comeback and help the Indian team in the next two ODIs, so that they can save their glory on their very own soil.
