Bangladesh U-19 to tour Sri Lanka next month

The ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DPL) has kept Bangladesh’s national cricketers occupied, with young and emerging players also engaged in various competitions. However, next month, the focus will shift to international commitments as the Bangladesh U-19 team prepares to return to action.

In April, the national team will also have a packed schedule, with Zimbabwe touring Bangladesh for a two-match Test series. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh U-19 squad is set to embark on a six-match ODI series in Sri Lanka later in the month.

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has already confirmed the schedule for the U-19 series through an official statement.


The tour will kick off with a warm-up match on April 24, followed by the first ODI on April 26. The remaining matches are scheduled for April 28, May 1, 3, 6, and 8, with all games set to take place in Hambantota, Sri Lanka.


This series will serve as crucial preparation for the next U-19 World Cup, which will be hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia in 2026.
