Bangladesh won the match by 101 and drawn the series 1-1.
Known for their struggles in building partnerships with tailenders, Bangladesh's fortunes could have taken a similar turn if not for Jaker’s maturity and tactical adjustments.
Former West Indies pacer and renowned commentator Ian Bishop heaped praise on Jaker during an interview with Crickfrenzy.
“There are players who may not have the biggest build but have immense power in their shots. Jaker showed he can clear boundaries. His courage and unique technique make him a player worth investing in,” Bishop said.
Bishop also lauded Bangladesh's bowling unit, highlighting the contributions of pacers Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, and newcomer Nahid Rana.
“Bangladesh’s bowling attack is impressive. Taskin, Hasan, and Shariful Islam have been on my radar since their U-19 days. Nahid Rana adds a fresh dimension. With quality spinners like Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan, their attack has great balance,” he remarked.
