Taskin optimistic about the bright future of Tigers’ pace roar

Earlier this year, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan 2-0 in a Test series on their home soil, with Hasan Mahmud, Taskin, and Nahid Rana leading from the front.
Although Bangladesh lost the first Test against the West Indies, the pacers impressed, with Taskin claiming his maiden five-wicket haul. In the second Test, Rana also registered his first fifer, contributing significantly to Bangladesh's 101-run victory.
Taskin, named Player of the Series, expressed his optimism about the pace unit's future.
“We’re truly delighted. We’ve been working hard, and the process we’re following is yielding results. Over the past three years, our fast-bowling group has improved steadily. The BCB is also making an effort to provide better wickets for fast bowlers. I hope we’ll see more quality pacers emerging in Bangladesh soon.”
Taskin took one wicket in the first innings and two crucial ones in the second. Nahid Rana shone with six wickets across both innings, while Hasan Mahmud picked up four. Taskin, who claimed 8 wickets in the first Test, including a career-best 6 for 64, sees the pacers' ongoing success as a sign of more memorable wins to come.
The pace trio’s remarkable performance highlights Bangladesh's growing strength in fast bowling and signals a new era for the team on the international stage.
