Sri Lanka squad: Malinga left out, Mathews sidelined

Sri Lanka Cricket announced the below 15 member squad out of the 20 member squad approved by the Minister of Sports Honorable Dayasiri Jayasekera ahead of the Hero Nidahas Trophy 2018, which is set to commence on the March 6.

Angelo Mathews has been ruled out of the tournament due to a fresh calf injury. Lasith Malinga has also been left out of the squad.

Sri Lanka will take on India in the opening game of the tournament. A total of seven games will be played among the three teams (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and India) including the final which is scheduled to take place on March 18.
