Rediscovering Form in Nepal
Bosisto showcased his skills in the NPL, scoring 194 runs with two half-centuries and taking nine wickets in seven matches for Karnali Yaks. Reflecting on the experience, Bosisto said, “The opportunity in Nepal was fantastic for me. It allowed me to display my skills in a tournament watched by many.”
The BPL Opportunity
The turning point came in December when Bosisto played a tournament in Melbourne alongside Imrul Kayes. Imrul, impressed by Bosisto’s batting, shared his potential with Khulna Tigers' head coach Talha Jubair after consulting Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh. Talha liked what he saw in Bosisto’s batting videos, leading to the Khulna Tigers signing the Australian batter for the BPL.
Bosisto described the experience: “In December, I played a tournament in Melbourne with Imrul. We stayed in touch, and he told me there might be opportunities in Bangladesh’s domestic tournaments, including the BPL. Marsh, my captain at Perth Scorchers, also recommended me to Imrul. That’s how this opportunity came about.”
A Fresh Start
Now representing Khulna Tigers, Bosisto sees the BPL as a chance to revive his cricket career. “The BPL has been an incredible experience so far. Playing in Bangladesh, experiencing the culture, and feeling the passion of the fans is an honor. My time with Khulna has been very positive, and I hope to return to the BPL in the future. This league is giving me a second life in cricket,” said Bosisto.
The Australian batter is optimistic that his BPL stint will mark the beginning of a new chapter in his cricketing journey.
