Nazmul Abedin Fahim speaks during an Iftar event organized by the Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association on Friday, Cricfrenzy

Speaking to the media during an Iftar event organized by the Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA), Fahim said, "It’s natural for the senior players to leave at some point. However, we have recently seen new players who possess the potential to represent the national team. There have been discussions in the media and among fans about certain players who are not in the squad but deserve a place. That itself proves we have replacements ready."

Fahim acknowledged that replacing experienced players is never easy, but he is optimistic about the rising talents.

"Predicting how they will perform in international cricket is difficult. From what we have seen, they have the ability to adapt. It may take some time, but I believe the new generation has enough talent and will earn their places in the team based on merit."

He further emphasized the need for confidence in the emerging cricketers, stating, "If we keep thinking they are not good enough and can never match those who left, then no new players will rise. We must believe in them. Our trust will help them gain self-confidence and prove their worth. I strongly believe they will perform well."
As Bangladesh cricket enters a transitional phase, all eyes will be on the next generation to see if they can uphold the legacy of their predecessors.
