The 76 clubs under CCDM (Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis) have held discussions on Tuesday and gave BCB an ultimatum till Friday to retract proposed amendments made by Najmul Abedin’s committee.

17 hrs agoIn a dramatic escalation, the clubs have decided to boycott the upcoming Dhaka First Division Cricket League, set to begin on January 19, unless their demands are met. Additionally, they have threatened to withdraw from future domestic tournaments if their grievances are not addressed.

The clubs have also placed a condition for their participation: the resignation of Nazmul Abedin from his position as a BCB director. Without his resignation, the clubs have vowed not to compete in the Dhaka League.

After their meeting, BCB’s former joint secretary and current councilor Rafiq-ul-Islam Babu, along with club official Adnan Rahman Dipon, informed the media of their decisions and outlined their demands.
The situation marks a significant challenge for the BCB, with domestic cricket at risk of disruption amidst the ongoing dispute.
