India announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and United States of America starting in June.

Rohit Sharma will lead the squad and Hardik Pandya will be his deputy in the marquee event.

Hard-hitting batter Shivam Dube made the cut on the back of a strong IPL showing. Dube has played 9 matches so far in the IPL 2024 and scored 350 runs at an average of 58.33.

Sanju Samson, who has had a good IPL both as a batter and captain for Rajasthan Royals, was included as the second wicketkeeper-batter behind Rishabh Pant, pipping the likes of K L Rahul and Ishan Kishan.

India begin their campaign against Ireland in Group A, with the match to be played in New York on June 5.
