Bangladesh reeling at 32-3 at stumps on Day 1

Bangladesh lost three quick wickets in reply to Sri Lanka's 280 in the first innings during the first Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, on Friday.
Bangladesh are reeling at 32-3 in 10 overs at the close of the day, trailing Sri Lanka by 248 runs.
Fernando trapped opener Zakir Hasan (9) and Najmul Hossain (5) lbw with identical in-swinging deliveries, while Rajitha got Mominul Haque caught for five.
Opener Mahmudul Hasan survived the day on nine alongside night watchmen Taijul Islam, who was yet to open the scoring.
Earlier, Debutant Nahid Rana and Khaled Ahmed helped Bangladesh restrict Sri Lanka to 280. Khaled took charge early in the game while Rana grabbed three crucial wickets in the final session to give Bangladesh the upper hand.
Bangladesh remained wicket-less in the second session which saw Sri Lanka's Dhananjaya De Silva and Kamindu Mendis fight back with a 202-run partnership for the sixth wicket.
Rana returned Kamindu to break the 202-run partnership, bringing an end to the innings of Kamindu after a valiant 102 off 127 balls with 11 boundaries and 3 sixes.
Following that, skipper Dhananjaya also fell to Rana when attempted to play a shot toward the deep square leg but ended up getting caught by Mehidy Hasan Miraz which is also his third catch of the innings.
Rana claimed his third wicket by dismissing Prabath Jayasuriya out when the batsman edged the ball and was caught behind by Litton Das.
Earlier, Bangladesh fast-bowler Khaled Ahmed struck early to reduce Sri Lanka to 92-5 in 22 overs before the Lunch.
Khaled picked three wickets on his home return, getting opener Nishan Madushka (2) early with a catch in the slip, thanks to a great catch by Mehedi Hasan Miraz.
Kusal Mendis (16) also fell to Khaled, departing in a similar manner as Madushanka. Khaled took another wicket in the same over by castling Dimuth Karunaratne on 17 runs.
Angelo Mathews (5) also departed after a couple of overs, getting run out with a stunning throw by skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto.
Shoriful Islam then joined the party, dismissing Dinesh Chandimal with a catch taken by Miraz. Kamindu was dropped on 0 by Mahmudul Hasan, the batter nicked Shoriful Islam and eventually dropped by Mahmudul at the slip.
