Rony: I feel comfortable playing at the top-order

Bangladesh opener Rony Talukdar was optimistic about his comeback to the T20I squad and said he wants to play in the top order if he gets a chance in the three-match T20 series next week.
Rony's stellar run in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for the Rangpur Riders earned him a spot in the national team after eight years.
The 32-year-old played a T20I against South Africa in 2015 where the natural opener was made to come in at seven. He managed a 22-ball 21 and did not feature in the next match ever.
The right-handed batsman told Cricfrenzy about his consistent performance in the BPL and his plans. "There was a plan to do better. Because I have played the whole season according to the plan and won the matches,"
"Yes (played as a opener in BPL). You know I am a top-order batsman, I feel comfortable playing at the top," he added.
Rony will have to fight with Liton Das, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Towhid Hridoy to get a place in the XI. Shanto and Liton's are favorites to open as Shanto scored more than five hundred runs in the last season of BPL.
Rony managed to score 425 runs for Rangpur at an average of 35.42 while striking it at 129.18 helping his side reach the playoffs.
