Fortune Barishal all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz revealed that Shakib al Hasan took permission from the umpire before intervening in the field.
Skipper Shakib stormed onto the field and looked animated when he saw Rangpur Riders change their bowlers before the beginning of their innings as he was not happy with the abrupt change of bowlers.

Seeing Rangpur's Sheikh Mahedi come in to bowl, Shakib wanted Anamul Haque Bijoy on strike instead of Chaturanga but the umpire wasn't allowing it, so Shakib entered the field hastily, and held a discussion with the umpires.

Miraj later informed the media that the Barisal captain entered the field with the permission of the umpire.
“He spoke to the umpire. He took permission from the third umpire (match referee) before entering the field. I was lost in the game. There was no discussion in the dressing room regarding this matter. There was no such talk,” said Miraz.
“The bowler who was bowling from one end...we had right-left handed combination at the crease. As Mahedi was the opening bowler, our left-handed batsman Chaturanga was at the strike end. Shakib Bhai wanted the right-handed batter to take the strike, as there was an advantage. Because the first one or two balls are very important. This is what Shakib Bhai was saying from outside,” he added.
