Bangladesh coach Russell Domingo warned national players on Tuesday not to watch the World Cup semi-final between Argentina and Croatia ahead of the Test match against India.
Argentina will play against Croatia in the first semi-final of the Qatar World Cup today. The match will start at 1:00am Bangladesh time.
The first of two Tests between Bangladesh and India will begin at 9:30 am on Wednesday in Chattogram.
“We have to go to bed, simple as that. You can’t be watching football till three in the morning, and play the Test that starts at 9:30am. It is stupid. I’d be disappointed if they did,” Domingo said in the pre match press conference.
Some of the prime players like skipper Shakib al Hasan is a supporter of Argentina.
