Bangladesh hit the unwanted three-figure spot in Test defeats with a 10-wicket loss on day four of their second Test against the West Indies at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Saint Lucia on Monday.
The Tigers were whitewashed in the two-match series and also became part of an unfavorable record, as Bangladesh became the quickest to 100 Test defeats.
Bangladesh achieved this accomplishment in only 134 Tests throughout their 22-year Test career. During this time, the Tigers have won 16 and drawn 18.
No other team has suffered 100 Test defeats as quickly as Bangladesh.
New Zealand comes the closest in this sense, having lost their 100th Test defeat after 241 Tests. However, the Kiwis won 33 games before suffering three-figure defeats.
