Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Naimur Rahman Durjoy has agreed with Test skipper Shakib al Hasan’s statement that Bangladesh batters have 'technical' problems.
Bangladesh lost six wickets for 76 runs in the first innings of the Antigua Test against the West Indies, which eventually ended in a 7-wicket defeat.

After the match, Shakib said that he doesn't find many technically sound batters in the team and Durjoy also nodded to his remark.
“What Shakib has said is right, there is no technically sound batter. There are some special places in Tests, for both spinners and batsmen. Pace bowlers need to swing the ball, spinners need to turn. If you bowl continuously like in ODIs and T20s, it doesn't give much results in Tests,” said Durjoy.
Durjoy also advised the players to try different strategies on the different surfaces and conditions.
“The kind of wicket we play at home, the way the ball behaves here, will not work in the same way in West Indies or South Africa. They have to work out separately for that condition. We have to apply a different strategy, " he added.
Bangladesh have played six Tests this year since the win in New Zealand and suffered comprehensive defeats in five of those matches. The only other result was a draw, coming against Sri Lanka in Chattogram.
