The Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] has canceled the current BCB High-Performance Unit camp in Sylhet due to significant flooding in the area.
Out of four districts in the Sylhet division, 89 percent of Sunamganj, 72 percent of Sylhet, 70 percent of Habiganj, and 50 percent of Moulvibazar were flooded.
The BCB HP's 27 cricketers have already returned to Dhaka by road on Sunday. Following the first phase of the camp in Cox's Bazar, the cricketers were in Sylhet for the second phase.

The cricketers will now be granted a vacation before the camp resumes, according to BCB director and chairman of the HP Unit Naimur Rahman.
“The boys [cricketers] are back in Dhaka and all of them are physically fine. They are in rest now and will be back in the field within next few days,” said former Bangladesh captain Naimur to the media on Sunday.
The BCB also set to extend a helping hand for the flood-affected population in the northeastern districts of the country.
Nizamuddin Chowdhury, the BCB's chief executive officer, stated that the board has already taken steps to assist the residents in the region.
“The BCB is always committed to stand for the people of the country in need and during disaster. This will be the same this time too. The board president [Nazmul Hasan] has already instructed us to plan on how we may come in help,” CEO Nizamuddin informed the media.
“The board has already spoken with the concerned board director from Sylhet [Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel who is also Awami League's Organizing Secretary]. He has already spoken to the local authority there and discussed on how the board can contribute. Hopefully, you all will be able to see the work soon,” he added.
