Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan's wicketkeeper-batter, has stated that India's players are eager to play against Pakistan.
Rizwan and India's Cheteshwar Pujara played for Sussex in the English County Championship. The 30-year-old added that he and Pujara discussed what Indian players believe about playing alongside their neighbors.

Pakistan and India only play each other in ICC competitions and haven't played a bilateral series in nearly a decade.

"The cricketers from Pakistan and India want to play against each other, but the state-level affairs are not in the control of players," Rizwan said on Thursday before the practice session ahead of West Indies series.
Meanwhile, Rizwan opined he learned a lot from Pujara, praising his focus and concentration level towards the game.
"I had discussions with Pujara regarding cricket and learned a lot of things from him. We are no different as players, we are one cricketing family."
