Finch eyes to end 'lean patch' with packed schedule

Aaron Finch, Australia's T20 captain, acknowledges he's going through a 'reasonably lean patch,' but is sure that tweaking his technique would help him regain his form before the T20 World Cup.
In the three-match ODI series against Pakistan in March-April, Finch scored 23, 0 and 0 but finished the tour with a 55 in the lone T20I.
He subsequently went on to score 86 runs in five innings for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.
When asked about his current form at the announcement of Australia's summer schedule, the Victorian did not shy away.
"It's been a reasonably lean patch," Finch told reporters in Melbourne.
"I've been through that plenty of times in my career. At times, you go through stages where you get a heap runs in a hurry and then go through some lean patches."
The right hander said he's been tinkering with his technique in a bid to recapture his best.
He was out lbw for a duck in consecutive innings in Pakistan.
"I think my technique started to get a little bit too open," Finch said on Monday.
"When you're worried about the ball swinging back in your front pad, you can tend to open up which then has a bit of a flow-on effect” he added.
The national skipper is confident the sheer number of scheduled white-ball matches to come will work in his favour.
Following the three T20Is and three ODIs in Sri Lanka in June, Finch has six ODIs and five T20s on home soil prior to the T20 World Cup.
"With such a busy schedule of cricket, there's a lot of time to be able to able to build and I suppose get back into the groove," he said.
"It'd be really nice to try and get some big runs and keep everyone off my back for a little while."
