Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu stated that the team's success instilled confidence in the selection committee.
Bangladesh produced a historic victory in the first ODI in Centurion, securing their first-ever win on South African soil as they beat the Proteas by 38 runs.
"Of course, when the team performs well, our panel gains confidence. You'll see that we've won a number of ODI series in the recent two years. "We have a good balance in the ODI team," Nannu said.
Nannu stated Bangladesh made progress in the ODIs and Test format and he believes that the Tigers will gradually develop into a strong side in the T20 format.
“We are not yet consistent in T20. However, we have progressed in Test cricket, we went to New Zealand and defeated them. Overall, we are in a good position in two formats. We are gradually working with the T20 team,” he added.
