Bangladesh to play two-match T20I series against UAE ahead of Pakistan tour

Liton Das's fifty and Nasum Ahmed's stunning bowling helped Bangladesh to beat Afghanistan in front of the full capacity Tigers fan by 61 runs in the first T20I of at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on Thursday.
The galleries at the home of cricket were almost full and buzzing with spectators after a break of 721 days.
Bangladesh wrapped up the visitors on 94 runs in 17.4 overs. Nasum was the pick of the bowling attack as he scalped four conceding 10 runs in his four overs.
Nasum returned Rahmanullah Gurbaz for naught in the opening over of their innings, then castled Hazratullah Zazai (6) and Darwish Rasooli (2) in the space of a couple of overs.
Karim Janat also fell to Nasum on 6 claiming his career-best T20I figures of 4-0-10-4 with an economy of 2.50.

Najibullah Zadran top-scored with 27 runs for the visitors and Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi scored 20 and 16 runs while multiple cricketers failed to cross the double digits.

Apart from Nasum, Shoriful Islam took three and Shakib al Hasan bagged a couple of wickets for Bangladesh.
Opting to bat first Tigers scored 155 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Liton effectively carried his ODI form in the T20Is.
The right-handed batter dominated the Afghan spin trio as he smashed 60 runs off 44 balls having struck four boundaries and two sixes.
Debutant opener Munim Shahriar and Naim Sheikh failed to create a good start to their innings as they departed on 17 and 2 runs respectively.
Young Munim was eyeing to play a big knock but Rashid Khan trapped him into LBW while playing a sweep shot towards the leg-side.
Liton, who struck his fifth T20I fifty added 46 runs with Afif Hossian for the fifth wicket partnership. Afif was dismissed on 25 off 24 deliveries aided by 2 fours.
Fazalhaq Farooqi, Azmatullah Omarzai took a couple of wickets apiece for the visitors.
Munim Shahriar and Yasir Ali Rabbi made their T20I debut for Bangladesh with this match.
