MI, CSK in different sets as teams divided into two groups in IPL

The participating ten teams of Indian Premier League (IPL) will play 14 league matches each (7 home and 7 away) in the upcoming edition. Each team will play five teams twice and the remaining four teams only once.
As per the BCCI, the two groups were made based on a seeding system based on the number of IPL titles won and the number of final appearances. Hence, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, five and four-time winners respectively, headlined the two groups.
The two new teams – Super Giants and Gujarat Titans – are also placed in two separate groups.

Group A comprises Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants
While Group B includes Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans

The 10 teams will play a total of 14 league matches (7 home matches and 7 away matches) totalling to 70 league matches, followed by the 4 playoff matches. Each team will play 5 teams twice and the remaining 4 teams only once (2 only home and 2 only away).
The league phase of IPL will be played across four venues in Mumbai and Pune, with the final taking place on May 29th. IPL will begin from March 26.
