Islami Bank East Zone vs BCB North Zone


BCB North Zone scored 71-0 at stumps in reply to Islami Bank East Zone’s 166 in the first innings during the third round of Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium(SKS), Rajshahi on Sunday.


BCB North Zone openers Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Junaid Siddique were batting on 35 and 30 respectively at the close of the day's play.


Earlier, after being invited to bat first North Zone bowlers thumped East on 166 losing all wickets. Shafiqul Islam took a fifer while Sunzamul Islam scalped three and Md Sharifullah took a couple of wickets.

Mohammad Ashraful top-scored for the team as he hit 70 off 160 which included 9 fours and a six. While Afif Hossain Dhrubo and Pritom Kumar played short innings of 37 and 26 runs.


Walton Central Zone vs BCB South Zone


Soumya Sarkar’s century steered Walton Central Zone to score 293 for four at stumps against BCB South Zone during the third round of BCL at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.


Unbeaten Soumya and Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury put on a 116-run partnership at the draw of the stumps on Day 1.


Soumya faced 247 balls to score 128 runs aided by 10 fours and 3 sixes while Shuvagata was on strike with 62 runs off 88 with 8 boundaries. Salman Hossain Emon played a knock of 70 runs.


Rishad Hossain and Nasum Ahmed picked up two wickets each for South Zone.
