BCB North Zone vs BCB South Zone


Naeem Islam’s century guided BCB North Zone to score 246 for 4 at stumps during the opening day against BCB South Zone at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram on Sunday.


After being invited to bat first North Zone found themselves in trouble after two openers returned for naught. Nahidul Islam removed both the openers in successive overs to dispatch the side.


Then Naeem Islam came to the crease and took the charge of the side with Marshal Ayub (47 off 73) and Mahidul Islam Ankon, who remained unbeaten on 53 at the close of the day.

Naeem struck 126 off 297 including 14 boundaries and a six. While Nasum Ahmed and Mahedi Hasan took one wicket each for South Zone.


Islami Bank East Zone vs Walton Central Zone


Walton Central Zone trail by 241 runs at stumps against Islami Bank East Zone during the opening day at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka.


Central Zone scored 4 without losing any wickets as Mizanur Rahman and Mohammad Mithun were batting on 2 and 2 at the draw of stumps on Day 1.


Earlier, Abu Haider Rony’s fifer threat East Zone to put 245 in the first innings. Shahadat Hossain Dipu top-scored 72 off 132 for East Zone. While Nayeem Hasan scored an unbeaten 40 runs.


Apart from Rony, who bagged five wickets, Hasan Murad took three wickets and Robiul Hoque took a couple of wickets.
