Mithun-Mizanur’s ton put Central Zone on top

On the second day of the first round of BCL at Chittagong Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Central Zone scored 430 runs with 2 votes. With 8 wickets in hand, they took lead of 211 runs.


Mohammad Mithun made 176 runs, who opened for the first time, while 162 runs came from Mizanur Rahman’s bat. They have made 327 runs opening stand.

Mithun hit 21 fours and two sixes in for his majestic innings from 257 balls.


The match still has two days. On the third day, the 211-run lead could help Central Zone to win the match by innings against North Zone.


Meanwhile, BCB South Zone is in a good position in the BCL match in Rajshahi on Monday.


In reply to Islami Bank East Zone 260 runs, South took a 28-run lead and scored 288 runs for 6 wickets at the end of the second day. Anamul Haque Bijoy was out for 88 runs, Zakir Hasan remained unbeaten on 91 runs.
