With the wounds from the recently finished T20 World Cup campaign still raw, Bangladesh's cricket team will look to rebuild ahead of a three-match T20I series against Pakistan. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have ‘rested’ experienced wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, while the best batsman in the country said, he didn’t ask for any rest in the T20 series against Pakistan.
Tiger captain expressed his view about Mushfiqur’s absence from the T20 squad.

"I believe this is solely the decision of the team management. At this moment, I don't want to say anything. But all I can say is that we are definitely going to miss Mushfiqur," Mahmudullah said in pre-match press meet Thursday.
Over the years, Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur have had a number of outstanding batting partnerships in Bangladesh cricket. Mahmudullah claims he is unaware of Mushfiqur's comment about losing out on the squad.
"Look, I don't even know what Mushfiq said. Let me look into it first, then I can probably say something on that. It's better to ask about his absence to the team management," the 35-year-old stated.
Bangladesh and Pakistan will lock horns in the first T20 on November 19 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The next two matches will be played on November 20 and 22 in Mirpur respectively.
