Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer stated Bangladesh's premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan could be the best bowler in the T20 World Cup, which is set to begin on Sunday.

In a virtual meeting called 'Captain's Call' by International Cricket Council (ICC), Coetzer was asked who the best batsman and bowler in the upcoming T20 World Cup would be.

The Scottish skipper responded Pakistan captain Babar Azam as the best batsman and named Shakib as the best bowler in the World Cup.

"I think the best batsman would be Babar Azam. And the best bowler, I think….. Shakib Al Hasan," said Coetzer.

Coetzer heaped praise on Shakib as one of the top bowlers around cricket and he said it will be challenge to face the all-rounder.

"He [Shakib] is one of the top bowlers in the world. So definitely it will be a challenge," he said.

Scotland are all set to start their campaign against Bangladesh who are one of the top-rated teams in group - B of the qualifiers.
