Bangladesh 'A' set to give huge target for HP

Bangladesh ‘A’ posted 258 runs for four wickets at the end of day three of the four-day match against the Bangladesh Hp team at Chittagong's Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.


Bangladesh ‘A’ were all-out for 231 while batting first. In reply, HP team scored 236 runs and took 6 runs lead in their first innings. Resuming the day, hp could not add any more runs as Rakibul Hasan scalped two quick wickets.

Bangladesh ‘A’ did not start well as opener Saif Hasan was out for 18 runs. However, Najmul Hasan Shanto and Shadman Islam made an important partnership of 75 runs which propel the side to control early push. However, both missed the half-century.


Shanto attempting to sweep the ball trapped lbw for 47 runs. However, he was disappointed with the umpire's decision.


On the way back to the dressing room, he lost his temper and hit the pad with the bat. Sadman was caught by Tanvir for 49 runs. Before the tea break, Mominul Haque also departed for 30 runs.


Mohammad Mithun's defensive and Yasir's aggressive batting added 103 runs at the last session of the day. Yasir scored 65 off 74 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Mithun scored 46 with 7 boundaries in 117 balls. Bangladesh 'A' team is ahead by 252 runs.
