Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon has repeatedly expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's management. Despite being the president of the board, he had no idea what was going on inside the team. However, he told the media that he is acquiring all the details during his tour of Sri Lanka.
After the two-match Test series loss against the West Indies, the board president made such remarks which created a lot of controversy.
"At least I know what is happening this time. I know what is going on in the XI, whether they will bowl or bat after winning the toss. I had no idea of these things before. If I get to know what’s happening in the team, then I can advise,” said Papon.
Khaled Mahmud Sujon is in charge of the ongoing tour of Sri Lanka, although he has not been with the national team for a long time. Papon thinks the cricketers will get more confidence as they have Sujan with the team.
“I think the team should be more spirited having Khaled Mahmood there, He is always trying to inspire the team.” He added.
