After having won their previous games, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Wankhede and won the game convincingly as well.

Sanju Samson won the toss and put CSK into bat first. Both the teams played with their winning combination from the last game for this fixture too. Ruturaj Gaikwad's (10) poor show in the tournament continued as e could manage to play only 13 balls. The opener got a life on the very first delivery of the innings by Rahul Tewatia(1-21) at first slip as well.

Faf du Plessis (33), meanwhile, took the charge and took on Jaydev Unadkat (0-40) for big shots. However, he fell in the last over of the powerplay to Chris Morris (2-33). The left-handed duo of Moeen Ali (26) and Suresh Raina (18) then started to steady the ship in the middle overs. Even Ambati Rayudu (27) too played a good cameo.

Captain MS Dhoni (18) also struggled to get going in the middle and could only manage to hit two fours in his three-over stay at the crease. And, the young Chetan Sakariya (3-36) removed the skipper as well. Later quickfire cameos in the death overs from Dwayne Bravo (20) and Sam Curran (13) took CSK to 188-9.

While chasing, RR opener Manan Vohra (14) once again got out by a rash shot as Sam Curran (2-24) provided with the first breakthrough in his first over. Jos Buttler (49) was at his best in the powerplay, scoring at a great pace. Curran then came to bowl and struck in his very next over. Skipper Sanju Samson (1) got out very cheaply with a mistimed shot in the final over of the powerplay as well.

Shivam Dube (17) did his best to rotate the strike while Buttler kept punishing the bowlers at the other end. But spinners did the job well. Ravindra Jadeja (2-28) and Moeen Ali (3-7) dismantled the batting lineup of the opponent.

From 87-2, RR reduced to 95-7 in the space of only three overs. Shivam Dube's struggling knock came to an end by Jadeja as well. David Miller (2), Riyan Parag (3), and Chris Morris (0) failed to contribute and were all dismissed by Moeen Ali as well.

Rahul Tewatia (20) and Jaydev Unadkat (24) tried to add some runs in the total but it was not enough to reach the target and eventually lost by 45 runs to help MS Dhoni make the game memorable with a win in his 200th match as the captain of CSK.
