Miraz eyes trophies with new Tigers of Bangladesh Cricket
15 Mar 25According to T20I captain Mahmudullah Riyad, Bangladesh team are losing their confidence, he referred that after a 65-run defeat in the third T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park.
Bangladesh had to play without the key-players like Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal , Mushfiqur Rahim, in addition, Mahmudullah also missed the third T20 due to a strain on his left thigh.

Mahmudullah thinks that the cricketers are losing confidence because of the continuous defeat. The senior cricketer feels that there is no alternative to winning in any format to regain confidence.
"We need to change things around quickly, we badly need some wins in any format, as I think we are losing confidence in our team. At the end of the day, if you don't win it will create doubt about yourself and the whole team,” he said.
He also said that Bangladesh couldn't take advantage of crucial moments in the second ODI in Christchurch and the second T20I in Napier, which could have regained some confidence from this tour.
“We had a few chances in the second ODI. I think we were quite competitive in the second T20I. We need to think about a few moments (in those games) and then we need to be careful on capitalising on those occasions," Mahmudullah added.
