After the ODI series, Bangladesh were clean swept by New Zealand in the T20I series as well. As a result, Tigers have been defeated for straight 32 times on New Zealand soil. Stand-in T20 captain Liton Das blamed their overall performance for such a result.
The third and final match was delayed due to rain and the match was reduced to 10 overs a side. However, Bangladesh repeated the same mistakes in their fielding, dropped several catches throughout the game which led Kiwis to a huge target.
After the end of the match skipper Liton admitted their mistakes, he said, “We are not playing good cricket in batting and fielding. That's what cost us.”

New Zealand wicket has always been challenging for the opponents and much difficult for sub-continental teams. Liton admitted that it was difficult for them to play in the New Zealand wicket and condition and they are still learning.

“We play in subcontinent tracks but here we need to think about how to play teams like New Zealand on bouncy tracks. We are learning, learning about the wicket and conditions and how to play here,” he added.
