Tamim urges for qualified candidates in upcoming BCB elections

Bangladesh suffered another series defeat after being swept 3-0 by host New Zealand. ODI captain Tamim Iqbal warned the team to be prepared for every condition in order to perform better in the future.
Bangladesh lacked in batting, fielding, missed several catches throughout the series which cost them an untouchable victory against New Zealand.

"I thought the first and the last game, we were nowhere close to them (New Zealand), I thought they played exceptionally well. We are a much better team but if we continue to play like this, we are going nowhere. We understand that it is a different condition than back home, but we have to improve a lot to compete with them,” Tamim said.
Tamim said that they must take every match seriously, no matter how difficult the conditions are, as every ODI counts for qualification in the Super League format.
"You can have the best coaches in the world, but the players need to understand what to do and what not to do. We are not consistent in overseas conditions as a team and as individual players. We have to find a way to fix it,” He added.
Tamim said that they went to New Zealand to win, not to improve their game. However, due to their poor performance, they were whitewashed by the Kiwis. Tamim describes it as a "disappointing" series because it did not live up to their expectations.
"I personally didn't come to New Zealand for improvement. We came to win games. This is no longer just a bilateral series. This is a points-based system. You win, you get points and makes your life easier for qualification"
