Nasir: I want to score 1000 runs in 6 matches

After waiting for more than a year, National Cricket League (NCL) is going to be formed on the field from Sunday. Rangpur division’s Nasir Hossain is going to return to the field with this tournament which is going to start with a total of 8 teams in two tiers.

Controversial Nasir has not been on the field for a long time. However, the 29-year-old cricketer wants to perform with the bat again. Nasir, who has already started training, has announced his goal for the upcoming national league.

“Of course it feels very good. After almost a year we are playing first class cricket. There will be an effort to complete the tournament well. This is my comeback tournament. Will try to be at least the highest run-getter. I want to score at least 800 or 1000 runs in 6 matches. That will be my endeavor” Nasir said.

Rangpur will take part in the national team as a strong team. Apart from Nasir, the team also has cricketers like Liton Kumar Das and Ariful Haque. Nasir and his team are confident of winning the title this time as well.

“We have always been a good team and play well. We fight for the title every time. Liton is certainly an important player in our team. But there are good players besides him. All in all, our team is good” he added.
