Former Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafee bin said on Monday that he is confident that his successor Tamim Iqbal will go a long way in the leadership role as he feels he got all the ability to do well as a captain.
BCB replaced Mashrafee with Tamim after the former decided to end his stint as the leader of the ODI squad during the home series against Zimbabwe at home.

Tamim, who is arguably the best batsman of the country, was reluctant to do captaincy earlier but somehow the board managed to convince him to lead the one-day side in the 50-over format.
‘’When you were doing captaincy in BPL for Chittagong, you used to say that Bhai, I'm a very good Vice-captain. But I have always said to you that the leadership ability you have you should do well,’’ Mashrafee told Tamim during a Facebook live session on Monday.
‘’There were times when you arranged a meal for everyone and by the time we are in the lobby it seemed everything is placed in perfect order,’’ said Mashrafee.
‘’So you have all the leadership ability. So my question was why you won’t take it because it would be good for Bangladesh cricket,’’ he said.
‘’You didn't take it wholeheartedly while in Sri Lanka, whatever happened there but right now I'm sure after seeing you, your steps, I think you are in the right track and I'm sure Bangladesh cricket will go on next step under your leadership,’’ he said.
