BCB boss Nazmul insisted it’s too early to ‘say’

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan said that they are negotiating with four to five candidates to fill the post of Tigers Test batting consultant.
According to media reports BCB officials admitted that they had talks with Indian high profile batting consultant Sanjay Bangar regarding joining them to help the Test batsman but nothing is finalized yet.
Bangar, India's former batting coach announced afterwards that he turned down Bangladesh Cricket Board's offer to become its Test team's consultant citing professional commitments.
Bangar, who was offered to become Bangladesh's batting consultant ahead of the two-Test series against Australia in June, declined the role as he signed a two-year contract with Star Sports in the interim.
"They offered me the position eight weeks ago. But in the interim, I finalised finalised my contract with Star which gave me the opportunity to balance out my personal and professional commitments. However, I look forward to working with BCB in the future," Bangar was quoted as saying by PTI.
Bangar had worked as the batting coach of the Indian team from 2014 to 2019 and was replaced by Vikram Rathour at the start of the home season in September. Bangar's last assignment with the national team was the West Indies tour that followed immediately after the 2019 World Cup in the UK. The 47-year-old was the only one whose contract wasn't renewed while head coach Ravi Shastri, bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar all had their roles extended. Bangar has since been involved in commentary.
The BCB had approached the Indian for the role after former South Africa batsman Neil McKenzie, who is Bangladesh's white-ball consultant, refused to extend his role to all formats.
However Nazmul hinted that it is too early to make a decision but added that they are not willing to compromise with their terms and conditions.
‘’We are holding talks with four or five person. Not everyone will agree through the terms and conditions and it's too early to say,’’ said Nazmul.
‘’Like if they don't agree with our terms and conditions then it will not happen, it is like that,’’ he said.
