Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan said on Friday that they are concerned with the work load of the national cricketers as they believe they are playing nonstop cricket.
National cricketers are remaining with their international schedule all through the year and often it is raised as a concerning issue considering they also have to play domestic tournament as well as some of them going into different T20 leagues.
BCB had already made it mandatory that a cricketer can play in only two T20 franchise based tournament abroad while to make sure Mustafizur Rahman is barred from taking part in the upcoming two editions of IPL.
Excess cricket often turns out to be the major reason behind picking injuries while there are several instances when cricketers complained they are getting fatigued with excessive cricket all around.

Shakib al Hasan took a six-month sabbatical from Test last year just to make sure he get back some gas while it is often been rumored that some of them have requested not to consider them for some international series in the very recent future.
‘’The national players remain very busy. We cannot give them required break and we are pretty concerned about it. We understand they are going through lot of pressure,’’ Nazmul Hasan told reporters at Sylhet on Friday.
‘’They will be going to New Zealand after the BPL and then there is Ireland and World Cup. But we feel we have come at the middle of something [in between],’’ he said.
Recently there is a buzz that to grow domestic cricketer for T20 cricket there should be another domestic tournament that will be featuring a tournament only with the local players.
Nazmul hinted that they will try it but added he is not sure whether it will be profitable if there is no national player in such kind of tournament as they are mulling with the idea of launching it immediately after the DPL, that certainly does clash with national cricketers as they will be busy for their international duty.
‘’There was time when we felt that we will add T20 when we play the Dhaka Premier League and if that is the case than it would help us get some players but it is difficult to say whether we can start it from this season or not. But as it came to our mind we will naturally think about it and try it,’’ said Nazmul
‘’We have to keep lot of things in our head and firstly the national team.We can do a lot of thing and it is not a fact we cannot do anything but the fact is where there is no national cricketer it hardly generate attraction as no one shows interest. And that is our problem,’’ he added.
