Bangladesh clinched the maiden T20I series against New Zealand by registering a six-wicket win in the fourth match of the series. New Zealand skipper Tom Latham said he was pleased to have kept the game alive until the last over.

Despite restricting the Kiwis for 93 in 19.3 overs, the Tigers had to bat till the last over to chase down the target.

"I am pleased with the way we could take it to the last over. We were slightly under par. We were looking at 100-110 but credit to Bangladesh for the way they batted. " Latham said at the post-match presentation ceremony.   

Latham praised the Bangladesh cricketers and felt that his side lost quick wickets which demerited their momentum in the game.

"After a couple of early wickets, they had it under control. The way Mahmudullah [Riyad] finished, credit to them. [Will] Young played a good innings to take us to a competitive score. We lost quick wickets and it was hard to keep the momentum going," Latham added.
