Under-19 camp postponed for corona

Bangladesh Cricket Board decided to postpone the ongoing Under-19 camp from Saturday after several cricketers were found out having symptoms of corona virus.
The camp was expected to run for a month but BCB decided to reduce the duration to three weeks following the postponement of the Under -19 Asia Cup as they were preparing for the tournament with the new batch of Under-19 cricketers.
The forthcoming Under-19 Asia Cup that was scheduled to be played in November in the UAE, has been postponed.

It was learnt that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) had urged member boards to give their opinion about playing the tournament before scrapping it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be shifted to another suitable time in 2021.
Earlier, BCB game development found out couple of cricketers with Covid-19 symptoms that forced to instruct the team management to extend break duration from Wednesday until further notice.
As the number went higher with passing days BCB game development urged the team management to stop the residential camp in BKSP.
‘’We have stopped the camp from Saturday,’’ bowling coach Talha Jubair told Cricfrenzy.
Another BCB official confirmed that 15 cricketers are isolated with Covid-19 symptoms in the National Swimming Complex in Mirpur while three cricketers were found out corona positive.
