Bangladesh T20 captain Mahmudullah Riyad finally came out of the home and started batting practice to join the cricketers’ second individual practice session today.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had earlier announced that the second phase of the individual practice session is all set to commence from next Saturday.
All-rounder Mahmuddulah did not take part in the first part of the individual training session in the country.

The experienced and important cog of the Bangladesh team is seen at an informal practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today after a four-month long lay-off due to the highly dangerous COVID-19 virus.
He honed his batting skills in the first outdoor individual practice at the greenish and picturesque pitch of Home of Cricket.
Bangladesh Cricket Board is expecting more players to join the second phase of practice sessions this time around. All the national team’s players are hoping to get back in the field from Saturday as BCB chief physician told reporters on Monday.
But Tamim Iqbal and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will not be seen before mid-August because of their respective problems. Of them, Tamim, who returned home from London, is in home quarantine till August 14 and Masharfe is recovering the brunt of the coronavirus as he was infected with the virus to work with the people at the beginning of the corona pandemic.
“It is [starting on Saturday] going to be individual practice sessions like we had last month. But we are expecting more participation from cricketers. The setup will be the same like it was in the first phase but with increase in the number of cricketers we will have to increase our support staff and also follow the measures more strictly,” BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told reporters on Monday.
Veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiquir Rahim, Imrul Kayes, Enamul Haque Bijoy, Taskin Ahmed, Shafiul Islam were all done individual practice in the first sessions.
